About us
Our
Story
Growing up, Laila never really had a role model when it came to textured hair. It was rarely represented, understood, or celebrated, and this lack of visibility shaped how she experienced her own hair. Throughout her life, she sometimes wore it loose, sometimes tied up always adapting to what society expected of her.

As she got older, these expectations became even clearer in the corporate world, where she was often told her hair should be brushed out or tied up to look “professional.” Her textured hair was seen as something to control, rather than something to celebrate.

These experiences inspired Laila’s mission.

With Curls & Fro’s, she aims to educate, empower, and change the narrative around textured hair. She wants everyone to feel free to embrace their natural texture without having to conform to society’s standards.

Curls & Fro’s was created to provide the representation, knowledge, and confidence that Laila herself wished she had growing up.
Curls & Fro’s was founded by Laila Alaoui, a born leader with a strong passion for textured hair and a solid background in the event industry. What started as a vision quickly grew into a brand and community dedicated to celebrating natural hair in all its forms.
As Curls & Fro’s continued to expand, Laila partnered with a strong and committed team that supports the daily operations of the business and helps drive the brand forward. Together, they work to inspire confidence, promote self-love, and take Curls & Fro’s to the next level.
Who we are
Celebration of natural hair
Curls & Fro's is a community that gathers curly hair enthusiasts in all different kind of settings (events, workshops, etc.). With the rise of social media, today's generation is much more aware of the importance of keeping their hair natural and embrace its beauty.
Our mission is to make people with naturally textured hair feel beautiful, celebrated and seen. Curls & Fro's was created to advise, educate and share the love for textured hair. We want to bridge the gap between the community and professionals.
